Stanford, California, home to world famous Stanford University, is a scenic city located in Santa Clara County. Built in 1891 in memory of Leland Stanford, Jr., Stanford University  includes 8,180 acres of lands and buildings in the early-California style.  Centered around a quad complex of classrooms and offices is the centerpiece Stanford Memorial Church.

From 19th century American art to a huge collection of contemporary artists plus more than 70 sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Henry Moore, Josef Albers, Alexander Calder, George Segal and Joan Miro scattered throughout the campus make this university one of the highlights to any trip to Silicon Valley and environs.
