Debbie Stock is a press and public relations professional, specializing in writing, photography and marketing. Current projects include spot news coverage, travel articles for national magazines and newspapers and publication of over 10 websites in travel, sports, Real Estate, catering, hotels and more. Stock also provides Search Engine Optimization services for several companies, helping their sales and marketing departments manage paid and organic listings campaigns for higher conversions and greater ROI. Recently winning an international web award for the Huntington Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau in Huntington Beach, California, Stock worked  full time as communications manager, building the Bureau's web site with hundreds of photos and pages of information about a Southern California beach destination.


Debbie Stock began her journalism career at the University of Kansas as an award-winning staff photographer for the Daily Kansan. After graduating with honors from the William Allen White School of Journalism, she worked over a year as Chief Photographer and Roving Reporter for a Chicago Sun-Times newspaper. Relocating to California, she began writing feature, travel and news stories for numerous publications, including Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, San Francisco Chronicle and San Diego Union-Tribune. Her articles and award-winning photos were published throughout the world and displayed in museums in Germany and Los Angeles.

Stock also wrote business stories and profiles for Executive publications under the direction of an award-winning Business Week editor, plus articles about heating systems, energy resources, pharmaceuticals and many more topics for a variety of trade and consumer publications.

Assigned to a two-year project for an Olympic Games sponsor, she helped win a national public relations award with a successful news campaign for a telecommunications corporation that was published as a case study in a college textbooks.

Stock also served three years as press director for a nonprofit research organization and became one of the top media contacts worldwide. Her news releases to national and international media outlets yielded thousands of articles in consumer magazines, newspapers, TV and radio programs. She assisted in production of many television specials by providing content, guests and film locations.

For over 15 years Debbie Stock has written for Fortune 500 firms Edison International and SBC Communications Inc., covering technical topics, spot news and major events.  While she continues to produce news content for major corporations, she also publishes travel, lifestyle, historical and scientific information and works as a communications manager for a nonprofit travel organization. Stock has built and launched websites for Real Estate and hotel properties, travel companies, catering businesses and research organizations.
