Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort - The city that never sleeps is the place to visit if you're looking for skiing and fun. Snow capped mountains frame a crystal blue lake and valleys that make up South Lake Tahoe and its Nevada neighbor, Stateline. South Lake Tahoe offers the skiing--Stateline offers "never sleeping".

Rising 3,000 feet above Lake Tahoe, Heavenly’s scenic beauty is enhanced by over $250 million of mountain and village improvements – a gondola, new resort hotels, new lifts, better snowmaking, improved grooming, extensive lodge renovations, a world-class ski school facility, and a family adventure center that lets non-skiers join the fun! A subsidiary of Vail Resorts, Inc., Heavenly has enjoyed an infusion of interest and improvements that allow it to not only compete with other ski resorts, but offer something more with the Nevada border literally at its doorstep. Few ski resorts in the US offer casino gambling, late night shows and entertainment that make this destination an “Open 24 Hours” attraction.  From ‘round-the-clock poker tournaments to all-night dance clubs and the only stateside Cabo Wabo, you've got to keep moving.

With 300 days of sunshine; 40 feet of snowfall; 4,800 acres of terrain (California’s most); wide-open cruisers on meticulously-groomed corduroy; 1,000-foot chutes and five separate terrain parks for freeriders of every level to go big,  Heavenly ranks among Ski Magazine’s Top 20 Ski Resorts in North America. Skiing usually runs from mid-November to mid-April. Lifts open on weekdays at 9 a.m. and weekends at 8:30 a.m. They close at 4 p.m. For ski information: www.skiheavenly.com
