Moorpark Civic Ballet Production of The Nutcracker

Performances TBA 2010

The Moorpark Civic Ballet annually features a cast of over 100 costumed dancers in a beautiful stage presentation of beloved "The Nutcracker".

Don't be surprised to observe that the Moorpark Civic Ballet presentation of The Nutcracker has transformed through the years. If you attended past presentations, you may have observed an injection of infectious enthusiasm and glitz that can only come from a chorographer / director with roots in show biz.

Pam Rossi of Pam Rossi's Dance Ten, an established school of dance in Moorpark, has trained countless young dancers to perform in a popular ballet. What Rossi has brought to the stage is a knowledge of lighting, direction, action, sound and stage presence. Her professional career dancing and performing with hundreds of celebrity stars in Hollywood, Las Vegas, and on television makes this Nutcracker one that has been a hit and continues to grow in popularity each season. While the performances have veered toward a more traditional Nutcracker show each passing year, Rossi's unique talents and insights have helped create a program that is not cookie cutter in its packaging. You'll find that this Nutcracker ballet is one of the delights of the holiday season, and if you're visiting Southern California or happen to live in the region, by all means take advantage of a performance that will put you in the holiday spirit!

The Moorpark Civic Ballet's 125 dancers and performers from the ages of 4 to adult are delighted to put on this annual Nutcracker ballet.  Soloists from Canada and Russia have been featured in former performances.
