In 2008 the town launched its Winter Wonderland event that includes a tree lighting, train rides, inflatables, crafts, refreshments, information and giveaways, live entertainment and falling snow. Winter Wonderland invites families to join in the fun by bringing the kids along for a picture with Santa; it’s only $2 to receive a photo from the Town or free to take one yourself. Top it all off with our tree lighting ceremony and ornament give away at 6 p.m. in front of Town Hall.

Admission and parking are free. Civic Center Park and Town Hall are located at 14955 Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley, California.

While Apple Valley once grew apples commercially, those days are long gone. Donn't go there to seek out apple orchards, because there really aren't any to visit. What you will find in Apple Valley, located in San Bernardino County and Victor Valley is the high desert, just 80 miles northeast of L.A. 3,000 feet in elevation, the town boasts 350 days of sunshine per year. With a population edging toward 100,000 (estimates are around 80,000 currently), the popularity of this region is growing as families seek to escape Los Angeles basin.

With a small town look & feel, you can't go wrong in Apple Valley. Check out the community events such as the holiday tree lighting. It will give you a better idea of what to expect, should you decide to relocate to this bit of paradise locals call home.
