ANGELS CAMP - Jumping Frog Jubilee and Calaveras County Fair. A popular contest based on Samuel  Clemens’ trips to the Gold Country region that inspired his published work, “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County”, about Jim Smiley and his frog Dan’l Webster. FULLERTON - Moontide Anthology Reading, poetry. PLEASANTON - The Horse, of Course, exhibit. Horses in the History of the Amador-Livermore Valley are examined in a new exhibit on display from March 10 - August 15, 2010. SACRAMENTO - Carried with Courage Historic Flags. The California State Capitol is home to a remarkable collection of nearly 50 flags dating from the Civil War, Spanish American War and World War I.
