Soka University’s 9th Annual International Festival.  Soka University’s 9th Annual International Festival features over 700 international musicians and dancers performing on three stages, international food, demonstrations and workshops, ceramic sale, crafts, non-profit and business exhibitors, games and inflatable rides. SANTA BARBARA - Santa Barbara Library Dia De Los Niños/Dia De Los Libros Festival. Arts and crafts, storytelling, children’s authors and illustrators, dancing groups, and other activities celebrating literacy, library use, and diversity will be featured on May 1, 2010 at Dia De Los Niños/Dia De Los Libros Festival. The public is invited to join the Santa Barbara Public Library System and The Junior League of Santa Barbara for its Second Celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thanks to generous sponsors, the event will give away children’s books and finger foods while supplies last! SANTA BARBARA - Santa Barbara Sea Festival. Santa Barbara celebrates the bounty of the sea May 1-15 during the 10th Annual Santa Barbara Sea Festival. This year, festival founders the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum launch an expanded two week festival. The celebration kicks-off May 1 with the Santa Barbara Choral Society & Orchestra performing Ralph Vaughan-Williams’ stirring “A Sea Symphony” at The Granada, and ends with the Maritime Museum’s hands-on Sea Festival May 15 at the Harbor. sbseafestival.com
