CARLSBAD - Kids Day at the Flower Fields. Ranunculus Tours, Every March and April, the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch blossom into a spectacular sea of brightly colored ranunculus flowers. NICE - Festival of Tulips. 5th annual event features wine, food and entertainment set amidst Tulip Hill Winery's gardens blooming with 50,000 tulips imported from Holland. Winery tours will be given and guests will get a chance to explore the crush pad, cellar, and bottling room as the tour guide explains the winemaking process.
