ARROYO GRANDE - Central Coast Orchid Show & Sale. The 2010 Orchid Show themed Orchids Go Native, is the 15th Annual event. The American Orchid Society will judge the plants being exhibited. Vendors will offer a large variety of orchids for sale.  Potting demonstrations, plant doctors and show tours will provide orchid culture information to enthusiasts. Weekend raffle to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.  Hours: Saturday, March 27 from 9-5; Sunday, March 28, from 10-5. Cost:$5; Children 12 and under are free. Help restore native plant communities through non-native plant removal, and cleanup efforts. LONG BEACH - Battlefield Band. Celtic funk, the band is named after Battlefield section of Glasgow, and leads the revival of Scottish traditional music blending new songs and old and featuring modern instruments with blazing bagpipes and fiddle. SANTA ANA - Bubblefest.  Discovery Science Center’s bubble extravaganza – will float into Orange County for Spring Break, March 27 – April 11, 2010. SEAL BEACH - Red Car Museum is open. Noon to 3 p.m. Visit the past with a look at this historic rail car that used to drive between Los Angeles and Seal Beach daily. Transformed into a museum with videos, pictures and a great collection of memorabilia, it is well worth a stop and look. Open 2nd & 4th Saturdays, the museum provides the most comprehensive look into the history of Seal Beach. Donations are accepted.
