Labor Day Weekendd

  ARNOLD - Cedar Center Arts & Crafts Festival. 37th Annual Cedar Center Arts & Crafts Festival on Labor Day Weekend, September 5 & 6, features fine handmade arts & crafts and gourmet foods at one of the area's most popular events. Live country/swing music by "Homegrown" from Modesto and juggling by "Bonzai" Bunnell from San Francisco perform each day; continuous entertainment. The Ebbett’s Pass Lion’s Club serves a pancake breakfast from 7:30 - 11:00 each day. The Ebbett’s Pass Volunteer Department offers local beers & wine for sale. CAPITOLA - Begonia Festival. 57th Annual Nautical Parade includes begonia covered barges floating down Soquel Creek to the Lagoon on Sunday. HUNTINGTON BEACH - Civil War Re-enactment and Encampment. The public is invited to enjoy the days gone by in the living history show in Huntington Central Park complete with Abe Lincoln. Live canon battles, camps, actors in costume and food vendors. Schedule: Saturday, Sept. 1 - 10 a.m. opens, 1:30 p.m. battle; living history weapons demo at 2:30 p.m., final battle at 4 p.m., twilight concert to follow.
