HUNTINGTON BEACH - Oktoberfest. Traditional German Bier Garden Celebration with oom-pah-pah band, chicken dance, and delicious ethnic food. Begins at 6 p.m. Cost: Free admission. Location: Old World German Restaurant, Huntington Beach, CA.

JULIAN - Fall Apple Harvest. A San Diego tradition, the Annual Julian Fall Apple Harvest runs through November 15. This year, the Apple Harvest celebrates its 100th birthday as thousands of visitors venture to this historic East County mining town, nestled in the Cuyamaca Mountains, to sample fresh crisp apples, homemade apple pies and ciders. Visitors can also enjoy acres of colorful fall foliage, charming bed and breakfast inns, art shows, quaint antique shops and live entertainment.

ORANGE- Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch. Fun for all ages, but designed for kids. Ride the train, play carnival games, hay rides, maze, haunted house, and pumpkins. SAN DIEGO - San Diego Film Festival. It's five days of urban edge in a utopian setting. Help celebrate the eighth anniversary. There's no doubt that SDFF is the hottest ticket in town! SAN FRANCISCO- Angel Island Potomac Tour.  Enjoy a tram tour of Fort McDowell, one of the oldest military posts in the nation, and other significant historical Angel Island sites. SANTA ANA -  Kevin O'Neill, USC's new men's basketball coach, and Mark Jackson, USC football operations. The Trojan Club of Orange County (TCOC) features Kevin O'Neill, recognized for 30 years of college and professional coaching experience. Kevin's most recent position was an assistant coach with the Memphis Grizzlies and he previously served as head coach at Marquette, Northwestern and Tennessee. Mark Jackson returns to head coach Pete Carroll's staff after a brief departure to serve as the director of football operations for the Oakland Raiders.
