  ANAHEIM - Anaheim Fall Festival & Halloween Parade. The Halloween Parade has been an Anaheim tradition since 1924, when baseball legend Babe Ruth was honored as the Grand Marshal of the celebration. Games and food booths, live entertainment, a costume contest, trick-or-treating, free children’s admission to the MUZEO when accompanied by a paid adult, and a haunted house. ESCONDIDO - Haunted House. The Downtown Business Association offers a haunted house experience in a 15-room Grand Haunt filled with ghosts and ghouls, a mad scientist and a funeral parlor. It will feature live actors, scary surprises and smoke and mirrors. Admission is $10, with a special $15 front-of-the-line pass. FERNDALE - St. Mark's Harvest Festival and Chili Cook-Off. This annual event features family fun, all kinds of games, elephant bingo, cakewalk, and a candy booth for the kids. JULIAN - Fall Apple Harvest. A San Diego tradition, the Annual Julian Fall Apple Harvest runs through November 15. This year, the Apple Harvest celebrates its 100th birthday as thousands of visitors venture to this historic East County mining town, nestled in the Cuyamaca Mountains, to sample fresh crisp apples, homemade apple pies and ciders. REDONDO BEACH - Halloween Party on Redondo Beach Pier. Annual Halloween Bash on the Redondo Pier includes games with prizes for all children. Pier businesses will be ready with candy for the trick-or-treaters; a spooky DJ, costume parade and fun “ghoulishly” delightful dancing, and the Redondo Beach Pier Association will be presenting a safe, fun and friendly alternative to door to door travels.
