ANAHEIM - Orange County 2010-model OC Auto Show.  New cars, crossovers, sport/utility vehicles, trucks and more take over the Anaheim Convention Center in an automotive extravaganza featurung futuristic concept cars, eye-popping exotics, pre-production models, interactive ride and drives and the latest alternative fuel options for showgoers looking to go green. Additionally, the auto show will pump up the energy with exciting bikini contests, aftermarket accessories and the latest in car customization. Time: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Cost: $6-10. AVALON - Jazz Trax Jazz Concerts on Catalina Island. Top jazz artists perform Oct. 8-11; and Oct. 15-18. Costs vary.

BLUE LAKE -  Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze. Directions: Northbound Hwy 101: Guintoli exit - go left. Follow directions to Mad River Beach and look for signs to Corn Maze/Pumpkin Patch toward the big red barn.

BUENA PARK - Knotts Berry Farm- Knott's Scary Farm Haunt is world's largest theme park event. Shocking walk-through mazes, re-themed rides and one scare experience, with Knott’s Annual Haunt and 1,000 costumed creatures wandering the park, mazes and rides. Knott’s Berry Farm closes at 5:30 p.m. each evening and reopens at 7 p.m. as Knott’s Scary Farm. The fear continues until 1 a.m. (2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays). Tickets: $37-54/person. Opens at 7 p.m.

CAMPBELL - Oktoberfest. Campbell's two day Oktoberfest is the best. Held in Downtown Campbell, the event offers entertainment with Bavarian bands, beer garden and more. Time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat., Oct. 17; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sun., Call: (408) 378-6252.

JULIAN - Fall Apple Harvest. A San Diego tradition, the Annual Julian Fall Apple Harvest runs through November 15. This year, the Apple Harvest celebrates its 100th birthday as thousands of visitors venture to this historic East County mining town, nestled in the Cuyamaca Mountains, to sample fresh crisp apples, homemade apple pies and ciders. Visitors can also enjoy acres of colorful fall foliage, charming bed and breakfast inns, art shows, quaint antique shops and live entertainment.

LATRHOP  - Dell'Osso Family Farm Pumpkin Maze. This 11th annual event includes an awesome maze to work your way out of, plus pumpkin blaster where you can shoot miniature pumpkins, Kiddie Land, Pony Rides, a Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Tractor Train, free Hay Ride, free Hay Bale Pyramid, free Speedway, free Hay Bale Labyrinth, Maze Bridges, food & fun. LOS ANGELES - Fall Festival at the LA Farmer's Market. This popular event has included pig races, Halloween costumes, marching bands and other festive entertainment.  Time: All Day. Location: 6333 West 3rd St., Los Angeles, CA. Call: (323) 933-9211.

MONTEREY - Monterey Bay Aquarium 25 Year Anniversary. Join the silver anniversary and 25 years of inspiring ocean conservation. The weekend celebration includes live music; sustainable seafood cooking demonstrations and tastings; a scavenger hunt; prizes; a family craft room and more. Programs and activities include: Sustainable seafood demonstration and tasting prepared by Portola Restaurant's Chef David Anderson on the ocean-front deck, and learn how to make seafood choices that will assure a future with abundant ocean wildlife (Saturday only). Live music from Caribbean steel drums and Latin jazz by Derek Smith in the Marine Mammal Gallery from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Family crafts in the Discovery Labs from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Scavenger hunt includes finding 25 items that have been at the Aquarium since 1984. MOORPARK - Western Heritage Weekend. Includes stunt ropers, country music, cowboy poetry, a medicine show and more. At 3:00pm, the Wild West rides off into the sunset, but the Catterwailers heat up the Harvest Stage with their high-energy bluegrass music. Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: $10. ORANGE- Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch. Fun for all ages, but designed for kids. Ride the train, play carnival games, hay rides, maze, haunted house, and pumpkins. Pumpkin Patch time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost: No admission, parking fee at Irvine Regional Park is $3 weekday, $5 weekend. Location: 1 Irvine Park Rd., Orange, CA.
