CAMPBELL - Third Friday Artwalk. Downtown Campbell sponsors this fun event with a featured band. Time: 6 to 9 p.m. Cost: Free. Location: Downtown, Campbell, CA.

CHICO - The Cemetery Club, play. This production presented by Chico Theater Company is about a Jewish widows group that meets monthly to visit their husband's graves. Sweet tempered Ida is ready to begin a new life. Feisty Lucille just wants to have fun and Doris is uptight and judgmental, particularly when Sam the butcher enters the scene. DEL MAR - San Diego County Fair. Music Mania is the theme of the best annual event in San Diego.  Location: The Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, CA. Call: (858) 755-1161.

ISLETON - Crawdad Festival - Thousands of people flock to this sleepy Delta town to sample Cajun delicacies, participate in crawdad-eating contests, kick up their heels to the sounds of more than a dozen Cajun/Creole and Zydeco bands, and peruse the arts and crafts booths. 24,000 pounds of crawdads will be served. LAKEPORT - Summer Concert. Pack your picnic supper and head to the park to hear to-notch musical acts perform in the gazebo. Every Friday evening from mid-June through mid-August. Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Cost: Free. Location: Library Park, Lakeport, CA. Call: (707) 263-6113

MAMMOTH LAKES - 2009 Ford Mammoth Motocross. Motocross riders from around the nation will take to the famed Mammoth Motocross track this summer. This event draws some of the best riders in the world and is the oldest continuously running motocross event in the United States. Time: Daily. Location: Sherwin Creek Road, about two miles from the intersection of Old Mammoth Road. Spectators must ride mandatory shuttle for entry to the track--look for parking signs and enjoy the ride! PISMO BEACH - Pismo Beach Classic Car Show. This annual event raises money for charity, while celebrating community in a beach environment with beautiful collector automobiles.

PLACERVILLE - El Dorado County Fair. Destruction Derby, Fast Fridays motorcycle racing, carnival rides, a rodeo, animal races, cooking demonstrations,  home and garden displays and tons of great foods to buy. Location:  100 Placerville Drive, Placerville, CA. Hours (subject to change): Thursday: 12-midnight; Friday, Saturday: 10 – midnight; Sunday 10-10. Cost: varied, $7 general admission. PLEASANTON - The Hurricanes, concert. The 5-piece band that combines both male and female vocals offers the best in blues, classic and contemporary rock at the Pleasanton Summer Concerts. REDWOOD VALLEY - A Taste of Redwood Valley. Taste the wines of nine wineries as well as a new addition to the event... brandy! Don't miss this eclectic combination of family-owned wineries that make up this special event. (Many wineries are either organically grown, biodynamic or organic.) VICTORVILLE - Huck Finn Jubilee. This annual Huck Finn / Mark Twain celebration and cultural event includes live bluegrass and country music, fishing derby, games and an old-fashioned barn dance with line dancing and lots of entertainment such as hot air ballooning, antique cars and the world's largest bluegrass jam.
