  COSTA MESA - Orange County Fair. Orange County Fair is one of the most popular urban fairs in the U.S. Pig races, people contests, carnival rides, food, fun, and loads of live entertainment and fun for the entire family. HUNTINGTON BEACH - US Open of Surfing. The biggest beach event to hit the Surf City with surfing in a World Qualifying Series 6 star event. Winner of this competition gets additional points, that are cumulatively added up over the series. Time: Daylight. Cost: Free. LAGUNA BEACH - Sawdust Festival.  The show offers a great opportunity for home decorating and gift shopping. Summer Art Festival runs daily through Aug. 30, 2009. SAN FRANCISCO - Comedy at the Stud with Candy Churilla. A night of fabulous stand-up comedy with Bay Area favorite and darling of the gay comedy community, Candy Churilla! Candy appeared on season six of NBC's Last Comic Standing. She was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where she learned to drink. As a little girl, she dreamed of escaping Scranton to make a better life for herself and she finally has--in Oakland, of all places, where she hosts the monthly Backroom Comedy at McNally’s Irish Pub. She produces A Fag, A Hag, & A Drag, a stand-up comedy show featuring Ronn Vigh, Pippi Lovestocking and herself and is a regular performer at Harvey’s in the Castro. You can hear her on Pirate Cat Radio in San Francisco, where she co-hosts Ben Feldman Presents Ben Feldman's the Ben Feldman Show with Candy Churilla and Microphones. SAN FRANCISCO- Angel Island Potomac Tour.  Enjoy a tram tour of Fort McDowell, one of the oldest military posts in the nation, and other significant historical Angel Island sites.
