SPRINGVILLE - Springville Sierra Rodeo. This is an annual event that includes pre-rodeo festivities (gates open at 8 a.m. and  the Grand PRCA Rodeo at 2 p.m. with admission costing $12 -18. This 61st annual P.R.C.A. rodeo is held in Springville, CA.

STOCKTON - Asparagus Festival. All things asparagus are celebrated in the event now over 23 years old! Celebrity chefs, wine, beer, crafts, shows, contests and over 600 booths offer a variety of things to see and do during this 3-day celebration that runs through April 26. Time: Daily. SUNOL - Toast of Spring on the Wildflower Train. Livermore Valley vintners host wine tasting to during a one hour excursion filled with views of California poppies, lupin and mustard wildflowers seen from a vintage train ride through Niles Canyon. Board at the old Sunol depot and travel part of the historic route of the first transcontinental railroad. The one-hour round-trip excursion is about 14 miles. WOODLAND - Sacramento Valley Scottish Games & Festival. 132nd Anniversary event  will be a magical weekend for anyone interested in Scottish and Celtic arts, culture, and history.
