Local Hotels in San Francisco Bay Area at Santa Cruz | San Francisco / Silicon Valley Bay Area Hotels:

You'll find plenty of hotels at California beaches in this local hotel selection of beach hotels and business hotels that fill the bay area with enough accommodations to last you a lifetime.

Santa Cruz, Calif.-- Sometimes you have to think like a local to get the best hotel rooms and best values in hotels. I am learning the tricks of the trade and especially like the business hotels that locals know about. Thinking and travelling local helped me out on a trip with my mom to Santa Cruz. It was a place I once wanted to live, but our bay area jobs required a little closer commute, so we ended up in East Bay. On a trip with my mom, we took advantage of a vacation for a few days not far from either of our homes, making it a local trip with places neither of us had previously explored.

The Scotts Valley Hilton met all our requirements. Firm beds, nice rooms, views of pine forests, and a close drive to Santa Cruz beaches. Just far enough away from the tourist spots of Santa Cruz, we enjoyed fabulous rooms, great rest, and exploring that was the best between a mom and daughter. Some of our encounters should be in a book!

When you think local, travel shorter distances and explore your own back yard, you'll be amazed and the local hotels that are overlooked, yet the business travelers and tourists know all about them.
