Disney's California Adventure World of Color Water Show

Paradise Bay in Disney’s California Adventure park, springs to life with a waterworld of color in sights, sounds, and scenes splashed across a water screen in a new attraction, World of Color. For any Disneyland fan, this is a must see summer launch, and culmination of one stage of the multi-year expansion of the park. The good news is that the show launched in 2010 will be at the park throughout the year, so you can come in off-season and enjoy it then.

1,200 powerful fountains combine with a kaleidoscope of audio and visual effects, paced to the famous and popular Disney songs to provide a night time show of animation projected on massive screens of water. The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story and WALL-E will be featured along with classics in a water tapestry of entertainment designed to capture the audience and keep them spellbound throughout.

There’s something for everyone, according to Steve Davison of Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment. Lasers, fire and fog! World of Color includes larger-than-life projections, moving fountains that can shoot spouts from 30 feet to 200 feet high and technical wizardry in one of the biggest show control system ever built; more than 18,000 active points of control are precisely managed by a single system. Part of the 2010 Summer Nightastic! lineup of after-dark entertainment, World of Color will be shown year-round at Paradise Bay, while other special night time entertainment runs through Aug.29.
