BIG BEAR LAKE - Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest. 38th Annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest Schedule of Events includes Log Sawing & Stein Holding Contests - held several times throughout the day. Safe Slam Beer Drinking contest every Saturday evening. On Saturdays after 6:00 p.m. only persons 21 years and older will be admitted. However, families with children who have entered Oktoberfest prior to 6:00 p.m. Children's contests held Sundays at approximately 3:00 p.m.; Outside Budenstrasse Game Booths, Exhibitors, Petting Zoo Saturdays from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 Noon - 5:00 p.m.  will not be asked to leave Oktoberfest after 6:00 p.m. Price: $5 - 10 (kids under 12 free). HUNTINGTON BEACH - Oktoberfest. Adults only (21+) event includes a German/carnival atmosphere with huge crowds, dancing, drinking and food, plus a live German band. Time: 6:30 p.m.  - 1:30 a.m. Cost: $15. oldworld.ws

IRVINE - Natolympics. The 1st annual event includes a day of games, sports, music, crafts, and food organized to raise funds for two worthwhile causes: CHOC (Childrens Hospital of Orange County) and an individual, Natalie Gragnano, diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma at the young age of eight. Potato Sack Races, 50 Yard Dash, Soccer Shoot Out, Cake Walk, Water Balloon Toss, Live Music, Craft Activities, Snack Bar & Lunch, Opening & Closing Ceremonies, Raffle with incredible prizes and much more! Per request of the family, 50% of the proceeds will go to CHOC in order to benefit the many children who are suffering from similar diseases. NEWPORT BEACH -
Taste of Newport. 2008 Taste of Newport sponsored by the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce is now in its 20th year.

YOUNTVILLE - Artist Patrick O'Rourke. Gallery 1870 will be hosting the local romantic realist artist Patrick O’Rourke.
