BORREGO SPRINGS - Borrego Days Desert Festival. Event includes Miss Borrego Pageant. Location: Borrego Springs High School Gymnasium, Borrego Springs, CA. Time: 5 -7 p.m.

CONCORD - Gyro's 4D Fear Factory. This Halloween Haunt is just what you need to launch your celebrating. Time: 7 - 12 Midnight.  Cost: $23.99.  Location: Waterworld California, 1950 Waterworld Parkway, Concord, CA. Call: (866) 901-FEAR (3327).

DEL MAR - Harvest Festival. 36th annual event features over 24,000 one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, gourmet foods with free samples and musical entertainment. Artist quality glass art, jewelry, ceramics and gifts sold at this holiday event. Time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost: $9 Adult; $7 Senior 62+; $4 Youth 13-17; Free 12 and under when accompanied by an adult. One ticket is good for all three days. FILLMORE  - Headless Horseman Dinner Train. Ride a vintage train to the private pumpkin patch Ichabog. Dinner includes BBQ Tri-tip, Chicken, Potato Salad, Beans, Brad. Time: 6:45 -9:30 p.m. Cost: $43 adult; $28 Age 4 -12; $20 Age 2 -3; Free for infant that sits on parents lap and doesn't occupy a seat. HUNTINGTON BEACH - Old World Village Oktoberfest. A Bavarian band, live entertainment, German foods served and beers on tap, plus the pretty "shot" girls and a large dance floor for Chicken Dance. HUNTINGTON BEACH - Boutique of Lights. This two-day sales event is a fundraiser for the annual Cruise of Lights holiday boat tour through Huntington Harbour. LAKE ELSINORE - Toxic Terrors The Haunted Stadium. Three extreme walk-through attractions combine state-of-the-art effects with ultra-realistic environments, placing YOU in incredibly terrifying situations where you must make decisions, face your fears, and risk your own fate. This haunted stadium is infected with zombies and mutated creatures in a toxic nightmare. Location: Diamond Stadium, 500 Diamond Dr., Lake Elsinore, Time:  7 p.m. – 12 a.m. Midnight. LATRHOP  - Dell'Osso Family Farm Pumpkin Maze. This 11th annual event includes an awesome maze to work your way out of, plus pumpkin blaster where you can shoot miniature pumpkins, Kiddie Land, Pony Rides, a Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Tractor Train, free Hay Ride, free Hay Bale Pyramid, free Speedway, free Hay Bale Labyrinth, Maze Bridges, food & fun. LOS GATOS - Howling Halloween! Trick-or-Treat and Paw-ty with your pooch in Downtown Los Gatos! Trick-or-Treat the merchants in quaint Downtown Los Gatos, costume contests with great prizes, Grand Prize Raffle, live music, and much more. Grand Prize Raffle is airfare for two anywhere in the continental US, plus a dog-sitting package! A benefit for the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Foundation K-9 Unit presented by Society Dog. NEWARK - Teen Halloween Spooktacular. Exclusively for Jr. High students grades 7 & 8, this event will be held at Silliman Activity Center, $5/teen. Wear a costume, enjoy DJ, food and games. Time: 7 p.m.

ORANGE - Pumpkin Patch. A huge pumpkin patch and train ride are part of the fun in this 3rd annual event that includes train rides, hay rides, a haunted house, pony rides, thousands of pumpkins and more. Admission into the pumpkin patch is FREE. Prices for other activities vary. Location: Irvine Regional Park, 1 Irvine Park Rd., Orange, CA. Cars are charged $3 parking.

PACIFIC PALISADES - Grecian Taste and Roman Spirit Exhibit. The Society of Dilettanti takes delight in sex and the finer things in life at The Getty Villa. Open Thursday-Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations required, but admission is free. Parking fee: $10/car.  Location: 17985 Pacific Coast Highway, Pacific Palisades, CA.

PASADENA - Old Town Haunt. Descend into the basement of the historical Union Savings Bank Building where mysterious things have happened for over 107 years. SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco Ghost Hunt walking tour visits some of San Francisco's most notorious haunted places. Tree lined streets in a safe quiet neighborhood with beautiful historic Victorian architecture includes one moderate hill, in a one-mile walk with an easy pace. Departing year-round, rain or starshine, from an authentic restored Victorian, the magnificent Queen Anne Hotel, 1590 Sutter, on the corner of Sutter and Octavia. Cost: $20/person. $10/under 16. TEMPLETON - Traditions in Time Christmas Boutique. This annual event is one of the finest on the West Coast, bringing together more than 25 state wide artists and crafters in an entirely handcrafted show. Event runs through Oct. 25. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD Halloween Horror Nights. Put on your creepy clothes and head over to the scariest place in town, Universal.  Begins at 7pm. Tickets are available for purchase at

VACAVILLE - Haunting Stories. Halloween Dance Show is an annual event that offers great entertainment.  Time: 8 p.m. Cost: $20 - 25.  Location: Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre, 1010 Ulatis Dr., Vacaville, CA. Call: (707) 449-6217.

WESTMINSTER - Founder’s Day Festival and Parade. The City of Westminster is hosting the Founder's Day Festival and Parade on three days from October 24th to 26th in the Westminster Civic Center. The event will feature a large carnival, a food court, exciting entertainment and the revival of the Founder's Day Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday, October 25th and begins at 9:30 a.m. Location: 8200 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, CA. Cost: Free admission, foods and rides for a fee.
