BAKERSFIELD - Via Arte Italian Street Painting Festival. Chalk drawings fill the streets in an annual festival. Hundreds of artists participate in this event featuring entertainment, food, music and more. This year, celebrate Via Arte's 10th birthday with special events and activities such as a cupcake/ birthday cake themed art sale, cupcake walk for kids, champagne and cake bistro for adults. BIG BEAR LAKE - Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest. 38th Annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest Schedule of Events includes Log Sawing & Stein Holding Contests - held several times throughout the day.
