AVALON - Jazz Trax Festival. 22nd annual event features three weekends of live jazz music from top artists performing at the elegant Avalon Casino Ballroom. Artists Jay Soto and Eric Darius. Time: 7:30 p.m. Cost: $25 - 65. Location: 1 Casino Way, Avalon (Catalina Island), CA.

COSTA MESA - Head to Toe Women's Expo. With an emphasis on health, happiness, style and a balanced life, the Head to Toe Women’s Expo offers something for every woman. Attendees can visit over 200 exhibits and enjoy two stages, showing off the latest trends in hair and fashion, cooking demonstrations and a host of speakers from television to authors. Location: Orange County Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA.  Time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost: $8. Runs through October 12. FILLMORE  - Headless Horseman Dinner Train. Ride a vintage train to the private pumpkin patch Ichabog. Dinner includes BBQ Tri-tip, Chicken, Potato Salad, Beans, Brad. Time: 6:45 -9:30 p.m. Cost: $43 adult; $28 Age 4 -12; $20 Age 2 -3; Free for infant that sits on parents lap and doesn't occupy a seat. LAKE ELSINORE - Toxic Terrors The Haunted Stadium. Three extreme walk-through attractions combine state-of-the-art effects with ultra-realistic environments, placing YOU in incredibly terrifying situations where you must make decisions, face your fears, and risk your own fate. This haunted stadium is infected with zombies and mutated creatures in a toxic nightmare. Location: Diamond Stadium, 500 Diamond Dr., Lake Elsinore, Time:  7 p.m. – 12 a.m. Midnight. Ticket: $15; $13 for groups 10+.


LATRHOP  - Dell'Osso Family Farm Pumpkin Maze. This 11th annual event includes an awesome maze to work your way out of, plus pumpkin blaster where you can shoot miniature pumpkins, Kiddie Land, Pony Rides, a Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Tractor Train, free Hay Ride, free Hay Bale Pyramid, free Speedway, free Hay Bale Labyrinth, Maze Bridges, food & fun. MORRO BAY - Embarcadero Art Walk. Spend an enjoyable evening touring the many Art Galleries along the waterfront on the Embarcadero in beautiful Morro Bay. Sample great food and wine and converse with the artists. Takes place The Second Friday of every month. Time:5 to 8 p.m. Admission: Free. Location: Waterfront, 1100 Embarcadero, Morro Bay, CA. ORANGE - Pumpkin Patch. A huge pumpkin patch and train ride are part of the fun in this 3rd annual event that includes train rides, hay rides, a haunted house, pony rides, thousands of pumpkins and more. Admission into the pumpkin patch is FREE. Prices for other activities vary. Location: Irvine Regional Park, 1 Irvine Park Rd., Orange, CA. Cars are charged $3 parking.


PASADENA - Old Town Haunt. Descend into the basement of the historical Union Savings Bank Building where mysterious things have happened for over 107 years. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD Halloween Horror Nights. Put on your creepy clothes and head over to the scariest place in town, Universal.  Begins at 7pm. Tickets are available for purchase at


YERMO - Calico Days at Calico Ghost Town. Step back in time and relive Calico's glory days during the 1800's mining celebration, featuring a western parade, burro run, gunfight competition, live music and more. Admission: $10 adult; $5 age 6-15; Free 5 and under.

YUBA CITY - Yuba City Centennial Celebration. Celebrate the 100 year anniversary of this city with an old fashioned street fair and carnival on Plumas Street. Location: Yuba City, CA.
