AUBURN - Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire. This 16th Century Renaissance faire features Queen Elizabeth, Pirates, Magician, Fencing and Archery. CARMEL - Chez Julien at Chateau Julien Winery. First annual bistro-style dining experience at Chateau Julien Wine Estate in Carmel Valley planned by Chef Terry N. Teplitzky of Michael’s Catering is an after hours dinne with two seatings, Sunset seating at 5:30 or Moonlight seating at 7:30. The pre-fixe dinners begin with wine tasting in the Great Hall “wine bar” and conclude with lavish desserts in the cellar with Winemaker and V.P. of Operations Bill Anderson. CORONA -  Koroneburg European Old World Festival. 11th Annual event is  Southern California's Only Permanent Renaissance Village! Meet hundreds of family members living, working & playing in Southern California’s only permanent Renaissance Village. Visitors to this 1450-1600 European Village are entertained, discover fine arts and crafts, and enjoy delectable food and beverages. The setting is the fictitious estate of the Baron Heinrich Von Lauffer, located along the Rhine river (aka Santa Ana River) between Mainz and Strasbourg. Each year the Baron invites the finest minds and most talented actors to celebrate the coming of spring at his Barony of Koroneburg. IRVINE - Pacific Symphony Gala 2008, “A Chicago Story.”  Guests should dress to the nines and be ready to cut the rug right through time—Chicago-style! This year’s Gala honors Chicago-native John Forsyte, who celebrates 10 years as president of the Symphony. The annual gala supports the Symphony's artistic excellence and award-winning education programs. Tables are $10,000-$125,000; Tickets are $1,000-$10,000 per person. LAKEPORT - Kiss-A-Pig.  5th Annual Fundraiser. This unique event with hog calling and nominations to kiss the pig includes an old fashioned BBQ picnic dinner on the farm, plus petting zoo, kids' games, silent auction, music and dancing. Held each Mother's Day weekend, this giant 1-mile long event includes art competition, vendor booths, raffle and pancake breakfast held Saturday morning at the Fire Department. SUN VALLEY -  Festival DIA de la MADRE. 2008 Mother's Day Hispanic Community Fair.
