BENICIA - Steve Freund Brings Blues Trio and Chicago History to Local Music Studio. Guitarist Steve Freund will visit 851 Music Studio in Benicia to perform a guided guitar tour of the evolution of modern blues with roots in country blues and a touch of 40's jazz. Time: 2 pm. COSTA MESA - Orange County Fair Say Cheese. DEL MAR - Professional Bull Riding. Professional Bull Riders, Inc., was founded in 1992 by 20 accomplished bull riders who wanted to make bull riding — rodeo's most popular event — into a stand-alone sport. More than 700 bull riders from the U. S., Canada, Brazil and Australia hold PBR memberships. Tickets usually go on sale about three months prior to the event. HUNTINGTON BEACH - US OPEN of Surfing and Beach Games. A festive, youthful atmosphere greets vacationers to this annual outdoor extravaganza of sports such as surfing, skateboard, bmx, fmx and interactive village games for guests. Cost: Free admission. Open: daily till about 5 p.m.

HUNTINGTON BEACH - S3 Supergirl Jam. Held in Huntington Beach July 25-27, the event features outdoor sports competitions for girls only. Location: south of the Huntington Beach Pier, Huntington Beach, Cal. Times:  Friday, July 25, 2008 – 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, July 26, 2008 – 11:00a.m. -5:00 p.m.; Sunday, July 27, 2008 – 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Cost: Free.

LAGUNA BEACH - Art-A-Fair festival. 42nd annual art event located in a beautiful garden setting with 125 artists, plus live entertainment, fine food, demonstrations and workshops. This year's theme is "Venetian Carnival."  The event runs through Aug. 31. Location: 777 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, Calif. OXNARD -  Oxnard Salsa Festival. The 15th Annual Salsa event is the HOTTEST summer event with spicy foods and sizzling entertainment.  Presented by the Oxnard Downtowners, this award-winning festival features the region’s top salsa bands, non-stop salsa dancing, vendor marketplace shopping, Kids Korner attractions, a Salsa Tasting Tent, international foods, a salsa recipe contest, and the “Salsa with our Local Stars” Dance Contest & Charity Fundraiser. TWAIN HARTE - Twain Harte Summer Arts & Wine Festival. The 31st Annual event in the Central Sierra village of Twain Harte becomes the center of creativity, music and fun. Twain Harte Summer Arts & Wine Festival includes talented craft and graphic artists & continuous live entertainment. Starting at the Twain Harte Arch (Joaquin Gully Rd) and turning down Cedar Drive, nearly 100 high caliber artists will display and sell their fine wares. WATSONVILLE - Willy's Rods and Hogs Car Show and Swap Meet. Watsonville High School and The Road Angels 2nd annual event is fun to watch. Vendor booths, beautiful cars, and great swap meet deals make this a fun fund-raiser. Location: Watsonville High School, 250 East Beach Street, Watsonville, California Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Cost: Car entries $25 entry before June 6; $30 at the gate.
