CLOVERDALE - Cloverdale Sculpture Exhibit. 6th annual event includes an outdoor juried sculpture exhibit in downtown Cloverdale through October 1. Downtown plaza is transformed into a sculpture garden featuring sculptors from across the nation. Location: Cloverdale Plaza, Cloverdale, CA. Cost: Free. HUNTINGTON BEACH -  US Open of Surfing and Beach Games is back for another year of sand sports. World Qualifying 6 Star surfing, action sports super-stars of skate, bmx, and freestyle motocross, sand stationed vendor booths, surf camp, Drum Circle, Airbrush tattoo, and a week-long beach festival with action on the Pacific Ocean and in the Soul Bowl promises to be the hot ticket to youthful fun. Bring the kids and let them soak up the action. Location: Huntington City Beach near the Huntington Beach Pier, 315 Pacific Coast Highway (approx.), Huntington Beach, CA. Cost: Free admission. COSTA MESA - Orange County Fair Say Cheese. Enjoy one of the most popular urban fairs in the U.S. Pig races are an annual treat, carnival rides, food, fun, and loads of live entertainment and fun for the entire family.  Runs through Aug. 3, 2008 (closed Mondays).  Tickets: $5 - 10, kids under free 5 free. FULLERTON - Fullerton Downtown Farmers Market. The Market offers farm fresh produce, food, kids activities (nominal fee), live entertainment (6:30-8:30 pm), and a beer & wine garden. HUNTINGTON BEACH - US OPEN of Surfing and Beach Games. A festive, youthful atmosphere greets vacationers to this annual outdoor extravaganza of sports such as surfing, skateboard, bmx, fmx and interactive village games for guests. Cost: Free admission. HUNTINGTON BEACH - Cool Summer Nights features The Raptors of Shipley. Evening tour summer series is held at Shipley Nature Center.Tour time: 6 - 7 p.m. Location: Central Park, Golden West Street between Slater and Central Park Drive, Huntington Beach, CA. LAGUNA BEACH - Art-A-Fair festival. 42nd annual art event located in a beautiful garden setting with 125 artists, plus live entertainment, fine food, demonstrations and workshops. This year's theme is "Venetian Carnival."  The event runs through Aug. 31. Location: 777 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, Calif. NEWPORT BEACH - Summer Sunset Cocktail Cruises.  Hornblower’s New Summer Sunset Cocktail Cruises! Held every Thursday through September 4, Hornblower is celebrating summer by introducing our New Summer Sunset Cocktail Cruises! Breathtaking views of the sunset from the deck of a Hornblower yacht and a front row seat to view the sailboat races, the two-hour Cocktail Cruise features complimentary appetizers, drink specials and amazing views. The appetizer menu varies but may include favorites such as, chips and salsa, fresh garden crudités with herbed ranch dressing, Jamaican seasoned beef skewers with mango-pineapple salsa, firecracker chicken with chili cream, and vegetable spring rolls with ginger plum sauce.
