ANAHEIM - The Astor Collection Car Auction. Through June 29, this auction encompasses approx. 250 vintage automobiles. The Astor Collection is the result of thirty years of acquisition by a Californian native with over 50 years in Southern California broadcasting, Art Astor. He  is a renowned entrepreneur and passionate collector, having built one of the country’s most impressive and diverse collections of vintage automobiles and memorabilia. Highly original and extremely well maintained, the collection boasts a comprehensive selection of American models from the 1920s to the 1970s. Also to be offered at no reserve is one of the world’s largest collections of early radios and telephones along with an assortment of Art Deco furniture and automobilia. DEL MAR - San Diego County Fair - Summer of Sports is the theme for the fifth largest fair in North America.  The San Diego County Fair features the largest midway in the region and top-name performing artists on the grandstand stage, while maintaining its traditional county fair attractions including: Livestock, Home & Hobby, Woodworking, an award-winning Flower Show, great rides and a variety of food and commercial concessions. "Summer of Sports" will celebrate a wide variety of sports at all levels, from youth to professional. Fair runs through July 6, 2008.  Location: 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, California.

HAYWARD -  Fund Raiser, Barbecue, Family Fun Day. Kennedy Park has Bay Area Child Care Services First Annual Event invites families to Kennedy Park, for their playground, ride, Petting Zoo, and train, as well as a picnic area. Participants will receive free meal, drink, and one  ticket to ride, or Petting Zoo. Admission: $15/person; $10/child; $25 advance payment for family of three;  $30 day of. LAGUNA BEACH - Art-A-Fair festival. 42nd annual art event located in a beautiful garden setting with 125 artists, plus live entertainment, fine food, demonstrations and workshops. This year's theme is "Venetian Carnival."  The event runs through Aug. 31. Location: 777 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, Calif. LAGUNA BEACH - Sawdust Festival. 42nd annual artists expo includes dining, bands and original art, jewelry and clothing. The show offers a great opportunity for home decorating and gift shopping. POWAY - Old Poway Park Blue Largo Swing. Target Summer Concert in the Park Series is sponsored by the City of Poway, Target Stores, and Marrokal Construction.  Bring a blanket or chair, and a picnic dinner, and head out to Old Poway Park for some great summer fun.
