DEL MAR - San Diego County Fair - Summer of Sports is the theme for the fifth largest fair in North America.  The San Diego County Fair features the largest midway in the region and top-name performing artists on the grandstand stage, while maintaining its traditional county fair attractions including: Livestock, Home & Hobby, Woodworking, an award-winning Flower Show, great rides and a variety of food and commercial concessions. "Summer of Sports" will celebrate a wide variety of sports at all levels, from youth to professional. Fair runs through July 6, 2008.  Location: 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, California.


MARIN- SAN RAFAELMarin Art Festival - The public is invited to attend the fine arts and crafts festival representing over 250 artists. Located at a lovely outdoor venue with large lawns for strolling, the event includes a beautiful setting and entertainment to enhance your shopping and viewing experience.  Original art, paintings, sculpture, prints, jewelry, ceramics, and glass objects d'art make for a perfect home decorating or gift gathering excursion tourists won't want to miss. The Bay Area is known for its arts culture and this event will not disappoint. Also enjoy live entertainment with jazz, food and wine, and art activities for kids. PALM SPRINGS - Palm Springs Restaurant Week. The inaugural Palm Springs Restaurant Week spotlights the desert oasis as a premier culinary destination. Organized by Palm Springs Restaurant Association, the six-day event provides local foodies and visitors alike the opportunity to savor extraordinary three-course, prix fixe menus from more than 40 participating restaurants for $26 to $36 per person depending on the restaurant (beverage, tax and gratuity not included). VICTORVILLE - Huck Finn Jubilee Country & Bluegrass Festival.
