CORONA -  Koroneburg European Old World Festival. Southern California's Only Permanent Renaissance Village! Visitors to this 1450-1600 European Village enjoy jugglers, music, jousting, battles and entertainment for the entire family.  Runs weekends through June 15, 2008. HUNTINGTON BEACH - Huntington Beach Pier Swim. This United States Masters Swimming Sanction event is affordable and presents prizes in first through third place with trophy awards will be made to each division. A special  Gene Belshe Memorial Perpetual Trophy is awarded to the top team. Award based on top affiliated finishers in any division its subcommittee. The annual City of Huntington Beach Pier Swim is now in its 58th season of success. This popular event is held at the Huntington Beach Pier, and participants must swim approximately half a mile around the pier during the event. The swim contests begin in the morning and are normally done by noon. Wetsuits aren't permitted, and entrants must be at least 12 years of age. Location: Pacific Coast Highway at Main Street. DEL MAR - San Diego County Fair - Summer of Sports is the theme for the fifth largest fair in North America.  The San Diego County Fair features the largest midway in the region and top-name performing artists on the grandstand stage, while maintaining its traditional county fair attractions including: Livestock, Home & Hobby, Woodworking, an award-winning Flower Show, great rides and a variety of food and commercial concessions. "Summer of Sports" will celebrate a wide variety of sports at all levels, from youth to professional. Fair runs through July 6, 2008.  Location: 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, California.


EL DORADO HILLS - Wine at Town Center. The Rotary Clubs of Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills are proud to present Wine at Town Center which will be held on Saturday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This annual event has become one of the hallmark social events in the community and also a key element in the financing of local programs by the Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills Rotary Clubs. Cost: $45/person. Some participants: A Maad Tea Party Cafe Restaurant, Andrae's Bakery Restaurant, Boeger Winery, Inc. Winery, Charles B. Mitchell Vineyards Winery, Clos Du Lac Cellars Winery, Fats Asia Bistro Restaurant, Gold Hill Brewery, Madrona Vineyards Winery and many more.


ISLETON - Crawdad Festival - Thousands of people flock to this sleepy Delta town to sample Cajun delicacies, participate in crawdad-eating contests, kick up their heels to the sounds of more than a dozen Cajun/Creole and Zydeco bands, and peruse the arts and crafts booths. 24,000 pounds of crawdads will be served. LONG BEACH - The Sushi & Sake Festival. Featuring food, music, traditional Japanese dance, sake tasting, sushi making demonstration, taiko drumming, sumo demonstration, tea ceremony, cultural exhibits, craft vendors and more. MARIN Marin Art Festival - Fine arts and crafts. Location: Marin Center Exhibit Hall and Fairgrounds, 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael, CA. Time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Cost: $8 approx.; 14 and under free. Call: (415) 499-6800.


MURPHYS - Murphys Art Walk. 2nd Saturday of each month seven galleries open their doors with art, wine, food, and fun. Call: (209) 728-8640.


SACRAMENTO - Grape Escape. Wine tastings, food pairings, and cooking demos from 100 wineries and restaurants from eight surrounding counties. Plus live music and art displays. Location: Cesar Chavez Plaza, Sacramento, CA. Time: 4–7 p.m. Cost: $40-$50. Call: (916) 808-7777.

North Beach Precious Cheese Festival. Little Italy district celebrates 53rd annual event with cultural heritage such as Italian cuisine, arts and crafts, live music, champion pizza tossing and an animal blessing at the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi. Time: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Location: Washington Square Park,  1200-1500 blocks of Grant Avenue and adjacent streets in North Beach, San Francisco, CA. Cost: Free. Call: (415) 989-2220.


SUSANVILLE - Susanville Symphony Pops Concert. Popular symphonic music from films that include Indiana Jones, Superman and Schindler's List. Location: United Methodist Church, 70 Lassen St., Susanville, CA. Call: (530) 257-2920.


VICTORVILLE - Huck Finn Jubilee Country & Bluegrass Festival. One of Eight Great American Festivals according to Newsweek magazine, the Huck Finn music concert is also one of the best deals in Southern California.
