Featured Event: Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday Run/Walk, Buggy Race & Costume Contest

 

 

REDONDO BEACH -Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K Run/Walk and Costume Contest. 30th annual run takes place on an oceanfront course, attracting more than 10,000 runners & walkers to  Southern California 's greatest Super Bowl Celebration!

 

Now in its 30th year, the Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10KK/5K Run/Walk is a great way to celebrate the biggest day in sports and enjoy the picturesque sites of Redondo Beach: the Pacific Ocean, the Redondo Beach Historic Pier, the Marina in King Harbor, the Wyland whale mural, ocean breezes, fresh air and beautiful Southern California winter weather. Run, walk, or stroll in the Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk or Baby Buggy 10K.

 

There will also be a costume contest that is a big hit every year! Participants and guests can also enjoy great food, beverages and a variety of running accessories at the 2-day Health & Fitness Expo, Presented by Clif Bar. Start your Super Bowl Sunday on a healthy, fun and festive note and finish in plenty of time to enjoy America 's Classic - Super Bowl XLII!

 

All runners will receive a custom 30th Anniversary Shirt; Custom awards will be presented to the top three male & female finishers in each category; Asahi Beer Garden , 2 beers per person 21 and over (while supplies last); Live music.

 

Race packet pick up--You can pick up your race packet, T-shirt and bib number on Saturday, February 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or Sunday, February 3 starting at 6:00 a.m. at the Health & Fitness Expo located in the Seaside Lagoon adjacent to the Start Line. You are encouraged to avoid the race day rush by picking up your packet on Saturday.

 

Cost: $25 entry until Jan. 21, 2008, $30 entry after Jan. 21, 2008, $150 entry fee for a Corporate Team (maximum 6 people). Time: 6 am - 12 pm (Noon). RIVERSIDE - Dickens Festival Days. Plays, street performers, food vendors, workshops, living history with costumed characters and many activities bring the era to life. Location: Mission Inn Avenue between Lime and Orange Streets.

 

SAN RAFAEL - Gem Faire. Classes, demos, and gems to adore in this popular event where you can even find jewelry repair while you wait! Time: Friday: 12pm-7pm, Sat: 10am-7pm, Sun: 10am-5pm. SANTA ANA - Orange County Wedding & Event Center Expo. You and your fiancé can meet the most professional vendors Orange County, Southern California has to offer!
