CARLSBAD - Valentine's Week Guest Chef Gourmet Feast.  Chef Stefano Paracucchi, acclaimed throughout the world, will prepare the Valentine's week menu at Four Seasons Resort Aviara though February 18, 2008. Choices include a four-course dinner for $75 per person, five-course dinner for $95 per person or a unique Doppio Piacere menu featuring five courses, each with a sample of two chefs' works for $125 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Vivace is the resort's signature dining room serving regional interpretive Italian in a casual, yet elegant setting. Location: 7100 Four Seasons Point, Carlsbad, Ca. INDIO - Date Festival. Annual Indio Date Festival at Riverside County Fairgrounds. Fair runs through Feb. 24, 2008. LeAnn Rimes performs at 8 p.m. at Aladdin's Concert Pavilion. There's also an award-winning Arabian Nights Musical Pageant starting at 6:15 p.m. at the Pageant Stage.  Bull-O-Rama at 5:30 pm - Arena. Carnival rides from 10 a.m. to Midnight. LA JOLLA - THE SEVEN. A play adapted from Aeschylus' “Seven Against Thebes", is Greek tragedy meets hip-hop in writer/composer Will Power's modern adaptation of Aeschylus' story of a cursed family and a society unsure of how to free itself from war. Power's urban remix, with rhyming verse and diverse musical styles, shines with relevance through the eyes of a new generation. Contains adult language. Runs through  March 16, 2008. NEWPORT BEACH - Newport Beach Jazz Party. 8th annual jazz event includes artists Headlining on Saturday- the NBJP All-Star Band, led by John Clayton, will end the evening with an exciting JATP style Jam Session in addition to the Lewis Nash Quartet! Featured at this year’s Pool Sessions (Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon until 3:30pm) will be the Al Williams Jazz Society, Bill Cunliffe and Imaginacion and the International Power Trio with Atsuko Hashimoto, Houston Person and Jeff Hamilton! SAN DIEGO - Chinese Center New Year Fair. This 26th Annual 2-Day  event celebrates the Year of the Rat with Chinese food, music, crafts, calligraphy, Asian Story Theater, performances of martial arts,  traditional Lion and Dragon dances and acrobatics. SAN FRANCISCO - The Secret Tastes of Nob Hill - The tour includes a history of the prominent families who built their mansions on the Hill and a tour of Grace Cathedral. Enjoy a wine tasting at the Fairmont and cheese/fruit buffet, a trip to the spa at the Huntington for a look-see, and conclude with lunch at the Big 4 (two courses) and dessert at the Ritz Carlton.
