HUNTINGTON BEACH - Jazz Ensemble. Concerts in the Park invites you to bring a picnic basket and settle in for a shady evening of free entertainment under the eucalyptus groves of Huntington Beach's Central Park. Time: 5 p.m. Cost: Free. Location: 7111 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach, CA.

LONG BEACH -  Asiafest. A celebration of Asian culture, art music and foods, the event features

LONG BEACH - Tiki Beach Festival. Starts at 10 a.m. in the morning with kayaking, beach games, music, food and fun. Culminates with a 6 p.m. luau. Tiki Lounge, Main Stage, Dog Zone, Fun Zone, Tiki Carving area and much waterfront fun included. Location: Belmont Shore beach at Granada and Ocean near the launch ramp.

LOS ANGELES - African Marketplace & Cultural Faire. Events include jazz, r&b and top music concert acts, literary presentations, vendors selling unique gifts and foods, and an entire fun zone for kids. The event also runs on August 30, 31 and September 1. Time: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Location: Rancho Cienega Recreation Center, 5001 Rodeo Road, Los Angeles, CA 90016. MT. SHASTA - Mt. Shasta Music Festival Summer Concert Series Presents Samba Da. With one foot rooted in California and another in Brazil, Samba Da draws from the percussive styles of South and Central America and blends them with funk and reggae backbeats loved by North America. Location: Mt. Shasta Resort, 1000 Siskiyou Lake Blvd., Mt. Shasta, CA. Gates: 3:30 PM. Shows: 4:30 PM. All ages. General admission lawn seating. Chairs provided, or bring a blanket, or dance. No coolers please. Cost: $20/person.

SAN DIEGO -Sunset Summer Concerts features Coastal Communities Concert Band. The 78 members, Sudler Award-winning adult symphonic band conducted by William Brackman  performs classical masterpieces, triumphant marches, upbeat show tunes and Big Band numbers. Pack up your picnic basket, grab your blanket and enjoy an evening under the stars with your family and friends. Time:  5 to 8 p.m. Location: Clay Park located off of El Cajon Boulevard on Seminole Drive in the College Area, San Diego, CA. SONOMA - Indy Grand Prix. Motor racing fans are invited to the stars of the IndyCar┬« Series, including Dancing with the Stars Helio Castroneves, and the Grand-American Rolex Sports Car Series as the action takes place on Infineon Raceway.
