KERNVILLE Rubber Ducky Race. 21st Annual Kernville Rubber Duck Race at Riverside Park is sponsored by the Exchange Club. Call: (760) 376-4790.


LOMPOC - Mountain Men at Mission La Purisima and  Village Days. Mission La Purisima Concepcion celebrates the past with re-enactments of  traditional skills and crafts brought to La Purisima Mission by the Chumash Indians. Grinding acorns, shaping tule dolls,  making baskets, building tule houses, making stone and shell beads, arrow making and playing Chumash games are some activities. Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Location: Highway 246 near Lompoc.


LONG BEACH - Tiki Beach Festival. Starts at 10 a.m. in the morning with kayaking, beach games, music, food and fun. Culminates with a 6 p.m. luau. Tiki Lounge, Main Stage, Dog Zone, Fun Zone, Tiki Carving area and much waterfront fun included. Location: Belmont Shore beach at Granada and Ocean near the launch ramp.


SONOMA - Indy Grand Prix. Motor racing fans are invited to the stars of the IndyCar┬« Series, including Dancing with the Stars Helio Castroneves, and the Grand-American Rolex Sports Car Series as the action takes place on Infineon Raceway. Time: Gates open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Location: Infineon Raceway, 29355 Arnold Dr., Sonoma, CA ( Highways 37 & 121). Cost: $15  - $225. Call: (800) 870-RACE.
