FERNDALE - Humboldt County Fair.112th Annual Humboldt County Fair. Horse races, mule races, sheep dog trials, livestock, carnival rides, arts & handicrafts, food, floriculture and much more! Founded in 1896, this is the oldest uninterrupted county fair in California. Runs through Aug. 17. Call: (707) 786-9511.

FULLERTON - Frankie Moreno Band – Rock Music at Fullerton Summer Concerts in the Park. It's a night outdoors with family and friends. Bring picnic chairs, a picnic dinner and blankets to this casual evening of entertainment. The Fullerton Museum Center leads a free family arts & crafts booth and food is available for purchase.  Location: Fullerton Sports Complex ( 560 E. HUNTINGTON BEACH - Outdoor Movies at Pier Plaza. Fundraiser sponsored by Tripadvisor will offer free showing of the movie, Roman Holiday. Movie begins at dark. Bring suitcase, backpack donations. Location: Pacific Coast Highway at Main Street north of the HB Pier, Huntington Beach, CA (approx).  Cost: free.

MONTEREY- Monterey County Fair at Monterey County Fairgrounds. Enjoy live entertainment, carnival rides, games, contests, music, food vendors and a whole lot of fun. Event runs through Aug. 17, 2008.

MARINA DEL REY - Hornblower’s New Summer Sunset Cocktail Cruises - The best happy hour in Marina del Rey, Hornblower celebrates summer with breathtaking views of the sunset from the deck of a Hornblower yacht and a front row seat to view the sailboat races. Hornblower’s two-hour Cocktail Cruise features complimentary appetizers, drink specials and amazing views. The appetizer menu varies but may include favorites such as, chips and salsa, fresh garden crudités with herbed ranch dressing, Jamaican seasoned beef skewers with mango-pineapple salsa, firecracker chicken with chili cream, and vegetable spring rolls with ginger plum sauce. SAN MATEO - San Mateo County Fair and Bay Meadows Thoroughbred Horse Racing. Contests, carnival, livestock, crafts, home arts and animal competitions, top musical acts, petting zoo and pig racing are but a few of the attractions and events at this popular bay area fair. SEAL BEACH - Summer Concerts at the Pier. The Elm Street Band rocks Seal Beach this week in a 6-concert series event. Time: 6 to 8 p.m. Cost: Free. Location: Eisenhower Park, Ocean at Main St., Seal Beach, CA.

SEASIDE - Automobilia Monterey. Vintage automobile memorabilia from the finest international dealers includes original vintage posters, photographs, rallye plates, badges and pins, mascots and hood ornaments, signs, original art, desk and display pieces, scale models, literature and books, signed items, post cards, stamps, unique scarves, ties and shirts.
