October 31, 2007 Events in California

October 31, 2007 Events -October 31, 2007 is the big Halloween day and night. Boo's trick or treats, day of the dead, and the big West Hollywood Carnaval are all worth checking out.

If you live in California, or have visited, youu'll know that the biggest holiday of the year for many is Halloween. Perhaps it's the Hollywood influence, filtered from the likes of Universal Studios Hollywood and its Halloween Horror Nights that brings  some of their movie characters such as Freddy Krueger to life, creating one fantastic thrill after another as you are exposed to some of the best costumes the industry can provide. Halloween started out for the kiddies, but in California, it's the adults that really move this holiday with the masquerades, skimpy costumes and street celebrations such as West Hollywood Carnaval, attracting over half a million people and throwing a bit of the gay and drag influences into the mix. It all just fits in California. Some say it is decadent, some say it is over the top, and many just give up. It is Halloween for the masses.
