Seal Beach Turns 95 and There's a Celebration!

Seal Beach, CA--An old photo on the cover of the sheet music of a song called The Joy Zone will be performed at the 95th anniversary of Seal Beach.

A parade and festival will take us back to A Time to Remember on October 10, 2010 from Noon - 5 on the green belt in the center of old town Seal Beach that will be The Joy Zone for one day.  Visitors rode a roller coaster called The Derby in 1915 at the Joy Zone on the beach and watched scintillator lights at the end of the pier.

Come join us for a delightful time watching a parade march around the greenbelt with many participants and listening to bands on two stages with rotating groups playing a variety of selections and seeing singers and dancers perform.  Inflatable bounce houses for the children, puppet shows and food booths will be there for the whole family to enjoy.

A sidewalk sale sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce will be in full swing. The Red Car Museum will be open allowing celebrants to see the Seal Beach historic displays and look at the photos taken of the Joy Zone in 1915. Just imagine arriving in the Red Car and stepping into the past.
