100 Aquarium Way Shoreline Drive @Aquarium Way, Long Beach    Visitors: (562) 590-3100

A driving circle and huge parking garage are a delight to look at. If you don't have time to go inside, at least drive by and examine the exterior structural design. A traffic circle greets your arrival.

Nearly 2 million visitors have visited this museum which just opened its doors in the Summer of 1998. The $117 million Aquarium is located on a five-acre site in Rainbow Harbor, Long Beach. The Aquarium includes 520,000-square-foot retail and entertainment center completed in 2001.

Billed as the largest waterfront development in California history, the Queensway Bay Project features Rainbow Harbor as the centerpiece of the project.  The harbor is home to the tallships Californian and American Pride which are open for public tours when docked. Passengers can board the ship, hoist sails, raise the anchor, seep the deck or steer the ship.  For information on the tallships call (800) 432-2201.
