San Diego Zoo is a world class institution dedicated to
the study and care of animals, including many endangered species.
A beautiful full color publication is included with your membership to
the zoo. For those who are disabled or like to ride, there is a bus
tour with narration which circles the zoo, a tram ride to get an overview
and numerous events and lectures to inform you of the latest news in the
lives of the animals living there.
Situated near San Diego's famous Balboa Park, you will
not find a lovelier place to enjoy nature's call of the wild (except maybe
the Wild Animal Park) not far away in Escondido.
Attractions include giant pandas Bai Yun and Shi Shi and

San Diego Wild Animal Park
15500 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido. Five-mile, 50 minute monorail tour covers main attractions
at 1,800 acre preserve.
Viewed mostly at a distance, animals are allowed to roam
in habitat.
