Sunset Beach, Calif.—Cameron Diaz and Sandra
Bullock, listen up! You now have an opportunity
in Sunset Beach to impress your Hollywood
friends. Just down the street from your Sunset
Beach homes there's
Sunset Gondola. The Christmas Lights
in Huntington Harbour offer one of the best
times to take a ride, sip some wine, and have a
good time.
Part of the
Cruise of Lights
event in which homes decorate their harbor facing views
for tour boats to drive by and enjoy, we've taken
out friends to enjoy the
moonlit cruise around the smaller canals that
hug Sunset Island in Sunset Beach and look
forward to the December Cruise of Lights tour
with our family in a private boat. Shown above
are pictures of the shimmering, sparkling lights
that reflect on the waters of the harbor as seen
in a Sunset Gondola ride. The boat departs from
Peter's Landing, 16370

Immerse yourselff in the
harbor lifestyle with an
Italian gondola experience. The gondoliers with nearly 20
years of service pride themselves as being the few invited
U.S. gondoliers to participate in Italy's great gondola
competitions. Combining incredible skills and strength
with Tim Reinard's U.S. Coast Guard certification, you'll not
find more expert captains of your intimate, private vessel
anywhere.
While they encourage
visitors who seek a ride on a big yacht to sign up for the
Huntington Harbour Cruise of Lights, an annual fundraiser that
goes on limited schedule around the harbor for night-time lights
cruises, they invite those seeking a customized, intimate
experience to try Sunset Gondolas Harbour Lights gondola cruise.
Their service runs daily and nightly throughout December, taking
advantage of later hours and opportunities to see the lights
when the Cruise tour is not running.
The
sparkling holiday lights herald the beginning of a special boat
ride called Cruise of Lights. The annual event begins with a
lighted boat parade that goes one weekend in December. Following
it there are two weeks of public boat rides (for a fee) to raise
money for music programs in schools. Huntington Harbour in
Huntington Beach and a strip of Sunset Beach at Sunset Island
are decorated by residents. Many participate in a
competition, decorating their homes around a musical
theme chosen each year to further promote enjoyment of music.
Sunset Gondola
