Sunset Beach Volleyball and Things to Do

Sunset Beach-- Sunset Beach volleyball nets and sand courts at Sunset Beach, an Orange County operated beach community, make this one of the great Orange County beach hotel options for vacations.

Sunset Beach includes several hotels located on the ocean side of the road on Pacific Coast Highway.  In addition to the Sunset Beach hotels such as Ramada Limited and Econolodge (Sanatra Inn), there are other hotels on the other side of the road such as Ocean View Motel in Huntington Beach (see left panel).

After a rough workout playing a sand volleyball game, you can walk over to the local pubs to enjoy a brew or cocktail, some live music and a delicious meal. Enjoy dining at  J.King Neptune's, Harpoon Harry's, Captain Jack's or just get grab a beer at Mother's Bar.

Sunset Beach volleyball players can be seen on weekends, daytime during summer months and throughout the year when the weather is nice at the beach that's situated between Surfside, Seal Beach and Huntington Beach.

In Sunset Beach, you must bring your own volleyballs due to a lack of beach concessions. You can purchase a volleyball across the street at one of the beach stores at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Warner or near Pacific Coast Highway and Anderson Street where kite surfing supplies are available.

To the north of Sunset Beach is one of the locations for sand beach volleyball action with AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) Pro Beach Volleyball tour.  What's perfect about the beach volleyball at Sunset Beach is the availability of courts. You seldom have to wait in line for a court.
