We were sure they would be proven wrong about the quality of the food. It had been over a year since they visited. We patted our team member on the back and gave her an award for being correct. The room was great but the food was heavenly. Complex dishes with a healthy ingredients were served in the signature restaurant, Carneros. The salad pictured above tasted similar to a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, only lighter, fresher and with better texture. We would hop on a flight just to dine in Carneros again. It is a WoW!   The trend is supposedly moving away from the "food-loving traveler" popularity of years past. Don't be fooled! In Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and San Francisco, you will find original cuisine full of flavor and complexity, much like the wines created in this region.    The hotel also features spa treatments, a lap swimming pool, exercise room and in-room coffee makers if you are crazy enough to actually travel with your own blend of coffee  (like we do.)    What can you do in Sonoma?
