Hollow Beach Laguna Beach Beaches
Laguna Beach--Sleepy Hollow Beach is located near
the center of downtown Laguna Beach. The beach access
stairway on Sleepy Hollow Lane south of the signal at Legion and
Pacific Coast Hwy provides easy access for guests staying at Vacation
Village Hotel, which overlooks this popular beach.
The beach features an ocean shelf with
a sandy near shore floor and shore break popular with swimmers and body
surfers. The reef at the southern end of the beach offers excellent waves
for body boarding, but should be avoided by swimmers.
There are several submerged rocks and the rocky reef towards the southern
part of Vacation Village. Rip currents can form near the southern reef
especially. The entire beach is subject to rip currents, however.
There are no public restroom facilities at Sleepy Hollow Beach, but a short
walk to the Main Beach offers public facilities. The closest parking for
Sleepy Hollow beach is the metered parking on Pacific Coast Highway.
