Skateboard, sand, man - When
you spend time at the beach, the sand just becomes a part of
your being. A little grit as you shake the dust off, the sand
gets into your trunks, your gear, your hair, and everywhere. For
those of who live near the beach, it makes the most sense to get
tile floors or travertine in your house because of the sand that
you carry with you from the beach.
Sand does no favors to
skateboards either. The grit can get in your trucks, or you can
spill out on the slippery beach paths. But getting around
sure becomes a breeze during those million-attendance days when
the weather is hot and there's no room to park, much less move
on the beach. Several companies have attempted to sell a
skateboard rack product for beach destinations, much like the
ski locks at ski slopes but we've not seen the beaches of
California adopt this product yet. So you mostly have to hang
onto your board when hit the sand...and keep your eye on it,
plus things...like sunbathing, surfing and waves.
