This Fisherman's Wharf Holiday Inn offers clean and nicely
decorated rooms with an office work table, great water pressure in the
shower and a new, gently firm bed with sheets and blankets that seemed
new, as well.
There are two Holiday Inn hotel buildings situated across
the street from each other, with a Denny's in one and another restaurant,
bar and Starbucks Coffee shop in the other. You walk out the door
and walk through a parking lot which faces Fisherman's Wharf. It's the
ultimate in convenience. You are right there with the piers, including
Pier 39, the boat rides around the bay and under the Golden Gate Bridge,
to Alcatraz and Sausalito, the cable car ride, Ghiradelli Square, a wax museum
and Ripley's Believe it or Not museum. There dozens of restaurants and at
least 10 stores selling a variety of photographic supplies.
This hotel property and a Hyatt Regency located down the
street are extremely popular. In what should have been "off season"
with no conventions around, the Hyatt Regency was fully booked and this
hotel was doing extremely well. The rate quoted in the lobby was the same
lowest price offered on this internet booking engine. They get so
much business, you can count on paying for the convenience of the location.
