SeaWorld® San Diego is pure California fun. Usually ranked fourth among the Top 10 theme parks in California, SeaWorld sits on a beautiful bay overlooking San Diego's oceanfront. It is only one of three parks ranked in the Top 10 that enjoys ocean frontage. The other two are Santa Cruz Board Walk and Monterey Bay Aquarium. Now is the time for enjoying our favorite parks and amusements. Pictured above are scenes from Sea World in San Diego, a place where people come a little later in the day, we were told by one park representative. It seems that the animals are up at the crack of dawn, but San Diegans tend to sleep in. Whatever your preference, you'll enjoy San Diego if you like animals. From the Sea World San Diego, California theme park to the San Diego Zoo or the San Diego Wild Animal Park, you are in for a treat at any of these three great spots. 

A new San Diego Sea World water show is to be unveiled in 2010, but will rely on the Cirque de Soleil style themed show at their East Coast park. California seems to lag behind in getting these shows over the East Coast theme park holdings. Some say the new show featuring dolphins has a lot of colorful fluff, but not much in the way of dolphins. We'll see when it comes out.

Shipwreck Rapids®
Brave the waves on Shipwreck Rapids. Spin and splash through river rapids, plunge through an underground cavern and dodge dripping cargo nets as you swirl around a tropical island. Wild Arctic®

Forbidden Reef®

Manatee Rescue®
Manatee Rescue is one of a handful of U.S. locations outside Florida displaying the endangered Florida manatee.
