In 1986, two century old
hotels in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp District were rebuilt
brick by brick. Victorian architecture, antiques, period decor, a gas fireplace,
queen size beds, hand carved armoires and lace curtains are what you can
expect from a private room in San Diego's historic Gaslamp District
or Quarter. No two rooms at the Horton Grand are alike, some rooms have
balconies overlooking a New Orleans style open-air courtyard, while others
have city view balconies or bay windows. All units are air-conditioned
and each room also has a diary with handwritten testimonials from previous
guests.
On site entertainment such as the High Tea,
Ida Bailey's, and the Palace Bar with live jazz
make this a great spot to stay at and never leave. Area
attractions include the Convention Center and Seaport Village three blocks
away, nearby Horton Plaza shopping mall, Sea World - 10 miles distance
and San Diego Zoo just five miles away. |
