The only thing BEACHCALIFORNIA had time to visit on our trip through Stockton was Marsh Street with its restaurants and hotels. We chose Mallardd's for Sunday brunch (pictured left), because of its lovely setting. Sometimes you'll pay a little more in a city just to experience the ambience of waterfalls and outdoor tables. Courtyard by Marriott was across the street in this region that had a fancy, stone gate in the center of the road, with the word "Brookside".  It was a very pretty area with artificially, created lakes, office parks and residential areas. The hotel is near the exit of the 5 Freeway and enjoys a location offering dozens of dining experiences. Down Marsh Street on the other side of the freeway is Venetion Bridges, a shopping center. We liked what we saw on our brief visit through Stockton, and would like to go back to explore the city more.
