Santa Barbara, Calif.— One of California's
great shopping districts is Santa Barbara's
State Street. Offering an ideal mix of chain stores such as Saks and

shopping is outdoor, open-air shopping and State Street
offers that experience. It's gone through many transitions but has
addressed the issues and always managed to rally to new heights.

the Paseo Nuevo shopping plaza. The largest concentration of
