Once in our lives each of us who visits San Francisco enters the city with new eyes. Maybe it's your first time visit at the age of 25, or maybe you grew up in California and just haven't had the time to visit this exciting place. On my first introduction many years ago as a teen with my parents, visiting form the Midwest, we arrived by plane and wanted to catch the highlights, as we only had a day to spend.

At the time we came as tourists to San Francisco there was really one name in touring -- Grayline Tours. Our family hopped aboard the bus and got to see what impresses tourists most--Coit Tower, Nob Hill, the Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, and Sausalito. The tour was ideal, stopping and letting us out to take our tourist photos.

Many tours have cropped up since that time with one that's particularly worthy of note--Tower Tours. Providing an experience similar to Grayline, the company prides itself in customer service and a variety of tour offerings. While the overview tour is perfect for newcomers and first time visitors, if you spend a few days, also book the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Carmel tour, which allows you to avoid long lines at the Aquarium, a spectacular place to visit and explore.

In addition, various tours take you to see the Muir (redwood) forests, Alcatraz (by boat), Chinatown, North Beach, Palace of Fine Arts, Union Square, Cable Cars, Nob Hill, Presidio National Park and Ghirardelli Square. While you can manage to get around to these hotspots, it's not that easy to drive and park in San Francisco, which is all the more reason people book tours. You can see a lot more in a day when you let someone else do the driving.

You may not realize that Napa & Sonoma Wine Country destinations are closer to San Francisco than you think. One of the tours takes you on a full day adventure to visit the wineries, sample wines, buy some souvenirs, and head back for a night on the town in San Francisco. You can drink and not risk driving.

There are many compelling reasons to book the tours and this company, Tower Tours, gets high ratings for taking care of visitors and showing them a good time.
