VAGABOND INN - OLD TOWN features one of the closest hotel locations to the historic Old Town Sacramento with its shops, museums and restaurants. You can walk from the hotel so you donn't have to pay the metered parking in Old Town.  The Inn is your standard  "no frills" Vagabond but has the benefit of Denny's outside your hotel door.  Denny's is the affordable restaurant with a varied menu for all ages that offers decent food at a fair price.  The restaurants in Old Town tend to cost a bit more but many sit near the river's edge and are dining experiences you won't forget with awesome sunsets, a warm atmosphere and very good meals.  Old Town often provides re-enactments of early days, with local docents dressed in period costumes and providing dialogue from another era.
