Riverside County has one of the fastest growing populations in the State of California and in the USA. Its location east and north of Los Angeles allows workers to commute from their affordable homes in Riverside communities to the greater Los Angeles area. Riverside, Moreno Valley and Corona have all grown rapidly within the past 20 years to accommodate the pent up demand for housing beyond Los Angeles and Orange Counties where only 10 - 20 percent of workers can afford to buy a house. While Riverside County features drier, desert conditions with warmer days and cooler nights than the temperate oceanfront cities, it enjoys a closer proximity to the mountain resorts of San Bernardino.
